Directions:

  1. Prepare the Raffia:

    • Take a small bunch of raffia and trim it to about 6 inches wide. This will form the bristles of your broomstick.

  2. Attach the Raffia to the Skewer:

    • Fold the raffia in half and apply a small amount of hot glue in the middle at the top to hold it together.

    • Insert the blunt end of the bamboo skewer into the glue, making sure it is securely attached. Hold it in place until the glue dries.

  3. Wrap the Broomstick:

    • Use embroidery floss to wrap around the raffia near the top where it meets the skewer. This will secure the raffia and give your broomstick its signature look.

    • Tie a knot to keep the floss in place and trim any excess raffia to achieve your desired broomstick appearance.

  4. Assemble Your Treats:

    • Slide mini donuts (or your choice of fruit, cookies, or brownie bites) onto the skewer. Arrange them as you like for a fun and festive presentation.

  5. Enjoy and Impress:

    • Serve your magical broomstick skewers at breakfast or as a unique addition to your Halloween party spread. Watch as your family and guests delight in this enchanting treat!
